Experience across the sector
LENs has worked with organisations across health, social care, policy, training and service improvement.

A clearer starting point
Health and social care organisations have involved people with lived experience for many years. Too often, though, their role has been loosely defined or limited to sharing a personal story at one point in a much larger piece of work.
LENs was created to help organisations take a more structured approach. We work with you to clarify the question, choose the right form of involvement and create a role in which lived experience can inform the work properly.
You do not need to arrive with a finished brief. Tell us what your organisation is trying to understand, improve or develop. We will help scope the work and can combine services when one approach is not enough.

Explore Training and Accreditation SupportWhy LENs
We help define why lived experience is being involved, what the role covers, how the work will be carried out and what the organisation will receive. This gives contributors and organisations a shared understanding from the start.
Our role can include scoping, recruiting and employing Experts by Experience, coordination, preparation, support, facilitation, analysis and reporting. The exact arrangement depends on the service, but the organisation does not have to build every part of the process itself.
An advisory board, a service visit and a research interview do different jobs. LENs helps organisations choose the form of involvement that fits the question and combine services where the work needs more than one route.
